| Sale number: 86 Aden: 1876 (Mar 20) envelope written by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) with his crest on flap, addressed to Princess Louise of Hesse-Kassel, the Queen Consort of Denmark and Edward's mother-in-law, in Darmstadt, Germany, and sent on Edward's return from his eight month trip to India, franked by rare three colour combination of India 1a. brown, 4a. green and 8a. carmine tied by Aden B-22 duplex and with Sea Post Office (S.S. Hydaspes) and German receiving marks on reverse. The envelope torn on opening (clear of adhesives) and has been repaired in places.
